Our journey began in 1989 when a young Sylvain Charette founded Location Action in 1989. At the time, the business specialized in renting equipment and tools. With an entrepreneurial vision and a keen understanding of customer needs, Sylvain gradually expanded his offerings. In 2003, he took a significant step into the powersports industry by acquiring G&S Snowmobile, and in 2006, he fully embraced the sector by purchasing Rockland Wheels. By 2007, we had broadened our inventory with renowned brands such as Arctic Cat and Kawasaki, further strengthening our position in the market.
But beyond the products, Rockland Wheels is, above all, a family business, where customer relationships are at the heart of our success. “My father always encouraged me to follow my dreams and take care of my customers,” shares Sylvain. This philosophy continues today with Camille Charette, who serves as General Manager and is ready to take over the family business when the time comes. Camille embodies the spirit of innovation and customer-centric service, ensuring that every client feels like part of the Rockland Wheels family.
A milestone in our journey was the construction of our new building—a true family project involving Sylvain, his father Gérard, and his brother Richard. This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to serving you better, while also honoring our deep roots in the Rockland community. Built on Gérard Charette’s family land, this location holds special meaning for our family and the local community. It was once home to l’Érablière Charette, where families and friends would gather as the Charettes produced maple syrup. Today, Rockland Wheels carries forward that same spirit of warmth, connection, and passion, ensuring every customer feels like part of our extended family.
